LOHFF|THORNING continues the legacy of Lohff Management Consultants, one of Denmark’s most respected executive search firms, established more than 40 years ago.

In 2022, PULS-HR had already initiated the idea of establishing an executive headhunting function, which at the time was called “PULS Executive”. It was, however, only when the collaboration between Lohff Management Consultants and PULS Human Relations began in 2023 that we truly gained momentum.

Until the end of 2025, we maintained a close collaboration between the two companies and carried out a several assignments for businesses across the country. Consultants from both companies worked together on several occasions, and the dialogue between the owners evolved into the establishment of the name “LOHFF|THORNING” in early 2025.

A year later, in January 2026, we agreed on an acquisition through which Marck Thorning acquired the entirety of Lohff Management Consultants and was appointed Chief Executive Officer.

John Lohff and Preben Svendsen, the owners of Lohff Management Consultants, continue to deliver services to clients together with the other consultants, now supported by a new brand.

We are proud to continue an advisory tradition built on quality, discretion, and accountability as central principles.

In this way, we build on more than 40 years of experience, proud traditions, and a craft refined through the continuous development of our processes and approaches – always in close collaboration with Danish business.

For more than 40 years, we have built a strong network of candidates at the highest levels of the Danish business community. Each year, we conduct several hundred conversations with top talents as they progress towards the highest levels of the Danish business community.

The consultants work from our shared recruitment platform, and we draw on each other’s expertise according to the nature and scope of the assignment.
